Whelping Services
At Feu de l’Âme Beaucerons, we offer limited whelping and puppy raising services focused on providing experienced, hands-on care for both the dam and her litter during the most critical stages of development.
We specialize in large breed and working litters, particularly:
Beauceron
German Shepherd
Because every litter receives individualized attention and around-the-clock care, we only accept one litter at a time and only raise one litter at a time.
If you believe you may need whelping services, we strongly recommend reaching out well before your female’s due date, as availability is extremely limited.
Our Approach
We believe the earliest weeks of life play a major role in shaping healthy, stable, and resilient puppies. Every litter is raised in a clean, structured environment with careful monitoring, early socialization, and individualized care.
Our focus is not simply keeping puppies alive, but helping them thrive.
We utilize a variety of early developmental and socialization programs tailored to working and large breed puppies, including:
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) performed during days 3–16
Puppy Culture principles and structured puppy development
Early exposure to different textures, sounds, surfaces, and environments
Confidence-building and desensitization exercises
Age-appropriate problem solving and enrichment activities
Because puppies are raised on a working farm environment, they are naturally exposed to a wide variety of everyday sights, sounds, and experiences, including:
Large farm equipment
Four wheelers and utility vehicles
Livestock and other animals
Household activity and normal environmental noise
As puppies mature and become more mobile, socialization and environmental exposure are gradually expanded to help encourage stable temperaments, adaptability, and confidence.
