Celilo
Celilo is a young female who embodies so much of what I value in the Beauceron. From the very beginning, she has reminded me strongly of her mother, Zada. In many ways, Zada stamped her unmistakably, passing on the qualities I have always admired most: a clear, thoughtful mind, natural confidence, athletic ability, and a deep willingness to work.
Balanced in both structure and temperament, Celilo is developing into exactly the kind of versatile working dog I strive to produce. She possesses an easy athleticism, great drive, and the kind of soundness that allows her to excel in a wide range of pursuits. She has also passed her hip, elbow, eye, and advanced cardiac health tests.
Kate has done an exceptional job developing her potential, and together they have passed her French Ring Brevet. They continue to train in French Ring and are now working toward Ring 1 (FR1). Their partnership is a wonderful example of the breed’s intelligence, versatility, and natural working ability.
Beyond her talents, Celilo is a joy to live with. She has a steady, grounded temperament and an easy presence that make her as rewarding at home as she is on the training field. She combines strength with sensitivity, power with clarity, and always maintains that essential connection with her handler.
As president of the ski-joring club in Sandy, Oregon, Kate leads an active lifestyle, and Celilo is perfectly suited to it. Together, they also enjoy ski-joring and bike-joring, giving Celilo another outlet for her athleticism and willingness to work. Whether on the training field, out on the trails, or simply sharing in everyday adventures, she reflects the kind of capable, purposeful Beauceron I am proud to breed.
I am incredibly excited for Celilo’s future, including her planned working litter, and I look forward to all she will accomplish in the years ahead. She carries forward so much of what I cherish in this breed and in her remarkable mother.
